Each year on the 1st weekend in June, (June 5 & 6th, 2010) the old town of Streetsville celebrates the passing of their town into the City of Mississauga, in 1973. The Bread & Honey Festival, now a three day event and started as a wake, is now in it's 32th year. Each year, over 40,000 people come to enjoy the bread supplied by the two remaining mills in town and honey supplied by local businesses, as well as the parade, arts & crafts displays, entertainment and a midway for young folks.
The Mississauga Amateur Radio Club operates a special event station at the festival for QSL & certificate collectors. Operating times are 1400 to 2000 UTC on each day.
