The Mississauga DX Award Rules

1) Eligibility:
Any member in good standing of the Mississauga Amateur Radio Club for the 2002-2003 year is eligible for this award.
2) Award Period:
Contacts made between 0000 UTC on November 1, 2002 and 2359 UTC on June 30, 2002 inclusive, qualify for this award. Log extracts must be submitted by June 30, 2002 to qualify.
3) Country Contacts:
Each country worked is counted once only, regardless of band and mode used. The current ARRL DX countries list will be used to determine country eligibility.
4) Bands and Modes:
A participant may submit contacts for any band (including the WARC bands) or mode for which he/she is licenced during the award period.
5)Repeater Contacts:
Repeater contacts are not eligible for this award.
6) Log Submission:
QSL cards confirming contacts are not required. However, log extracts must be submitted showing the call sign of the station worked, the date, time in UTC, mode, and signal report sent and received (e.g., 59, or 599).
  Logs may be submitted to Lorne Jackson, VE3CXT, on paper, via fax (905 842-1982), or via email. Email submissions may be in standard ASCII format, or as an attached MSWord, Wordperfect, Lotus 1-2-3 or Excel format file.
7) Certificates and      Endorsements:

A certificate and a 10 country endorsement will be awarded to any participant who submits a log extract demonstrating contacts with 10 countries during the award period. Additional endorsements will be awarded for submissions, demonstrating contacts with a total of 25, 50 and 100 countries during the award period.

 

The Worked All Mississauga Award

1) Eligibility:
All bands, all modes, all hams anywhere in the world. (whether club members or not).
2) Time frame:
Contacts made between 0000 local time on November 1, 2002 and 2359 local time on June 30, 2002 inclusive. Log extracts must be submitted by June 30, 2002 to qualify.
3) Log Submission:
QSL cards confirming contacts are not required. However, log extracts must be submitted showing the 50 contacts with Mississauga Club members setting forth for each contact the information in clause 4) below.
4) Exchange:
i) where the contact is between two club members, they shall exchange callsigns, date of contact and postal codes.

ii) where the contact is between a member and a non-member, only the member shall provide the information in subclause (i) above. The non-member does not have to provide any information.

5) Log Medium:
Logs may be submitted to Lorne Jackson, VE3CXT, on paper, via fax (905 842-1982), or via email. Email submissions may be in standard ASCII text format, or as an attached MSWord, Wordperfect, Lotus 1-2-3 or Excel format file using standard MIME encoding.
7) Certificate:

A certificate will be awarded to any participant who submits a log extract demonstrating contacts with 50 Mississauaga Amateur Radio Club menebers during the award period.
